Reading

I try to always dedicate time to reading. Lately, I’ve been drawn to memoirs and historical fiction. Here are a few favorites of mine (some moved me to tears):
  • Becoming — Michelle Obama
  • Born a Crime — Trevor Noah
  • Eat, Pray, Love — Elizabeth Gilbert
  • Educated — Tara Westover
  • The alignment problem — Brian Christian

Travel

I’m usually a planner, but when it comes to traveling, I keep things pretty light – I will book the flights and hotels, watch a couple of travel vlogs to get a feel for the city, and then just go.

I love the little spontaneous details that unfold along the way (while always making sure I’m in a safe environment). Yes, those tourist spots are famous for a reason and I absolutely adore some, but I will always remember the kind smiles and laughter I collected along the way: the free-spirited family in Athens, the British gentleman who helped us park in Barcelona, the Taiwanese vendor in New York who kept offering us free samples. There’s so much more...
