Music has always been a big part of my life.

I have had perfect pitch for as long as I can remember —it’s like being able to name colors on sight: not always practical, but fun when you can identify the pitch of car honks or a train whistle rushing by. I actually considered pursuing music professionally when I was in middle school. Ultimately, I chose the academic route and built my career in tech, but I never stopped playing or performing, especially in chamber music. (I still practice for at least an hour every day—unless I’m traveling)

Music has been with me for so long that it feels like part of my identity. In a world often defined by labels—what school you went to, what company you work for—music remains my most personal and gentle reminder of who I am as a human being.

Performance

I will be playing Scriabin piano concerto with Skagit Symphony and perform some chamber music with friends ;)

I’ve performed quite a few piano trios, selected movements from Rachmaninoff cello sonata (the last movement is exciting and physically demanding 🏃‍♀️💦), selected opera accompaniment (The Drinking Song from Verdi's La traviata is so fun), and bassoon sonatas (from romantic to contemporary). It’s extremely rewarding to be able toperform the whole Mendelssohn piano trio. Check our performance below.
